Plans are underway for the annual C. R. Anderson Foundation silent auction. The auction is a great way to involve our graduate students and also support our graduate students and a literacy-based charity in our conference host community. Stay tuned!
Past projects include the Voices Poetry Project (high school) helping immigrants share their stories in the Seattle area, an after-school writing program serving inner-city Philadelphia, and a literacy project for the under served in the Albuquerque area.
A Biscayne Bay float? A tasty outing to Little Havana? A visit to Coconut Grove? A walk through the graffiti art of Wynwood Walls area? Hitting South Beach?!
Renting a car? For tolls, consider purchasing a SunPass mini sticker transponder to pre-pay tolls.
Airport to Conference Venue via Public Transit-one way is about $2.25. At Miami International Airport, take free MIA Mover (every 5 min.) to Miami Airport Metro. Purchase Metro fare card at station or online. Travel South to Government Center. Exit Metro and take the free Metro Mover-Omni Loop (every 6 min.). Exit at Adrian Airts/Omni Metro. Go 1 block north to hotel. (Wheelchair accessible.)
Cab to hotel is about $35. Lyft or Uber is about $20.
