Saint Mary's College of California invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track adjunct professor in Business Communication.

The faculty member will teach up to seven (7) courses per year primarily at the undergraduate level and potentially at the graduate level. These may include core undergraduate Business Communication (BUSAD 127), professional MBA courses such as Business Communication (MKT 402, 417, or 306), and Business Communication for Data Analytics (MKT 805).
This position is primarily located at Saint Mary's College in Moraga, but may include a course in Silicon Valley, as well as in a blended format, which involves using live web-conferencing for some class meetings.
Teaching may also include participation in college-wide programs at Saint Mary's such as Collegiate Seminar and January Term.
All Saint Mary's faculty are expected to mentor and advise students and to contribute to the mission of the College.

Academic Qualifications

Earned doctorate or Master's Degree in Communications, Rhetoric and Composition, Professional Writing or in a closely related field that emphasizes informal logic, reasoning, and argumentation.

Experience Requirements

Work experience in corporate communications, public relations, and social media is preferred.
Demonstrated track record or potential for teaching excellence, scholarly research and publication in the field, and service to the College community.
Ability to teach, advise, and mentor a culturally and educationally diverse student body.
Demonstrated commitment and success working in a diverse and multicultural community.
