Job Description

Georgia Southern University’s Department of Writing and Linguistics invites applications for the position of assistant professor in professional and technical writing. Academic Qualifications

Earned doctorate in a field relevant and suitable to the Department of Writing and Linguistics—such as
Technical, Professional, or Scientific Writing; Rhetoric and Composition; Linguistics; or closely related
field. The degree must be in hand by August 1, 2019.
● Scholarly agenda relevant to Technical, Professional, or Scientific Writing.
● Must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of employment without assistance from the
institution.

Experience Requirements

At least one year of part-time college-level teaching experience (may include graduate assistant teaching
experience).
