Job Description

This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty position responsible for contributing significantly to Stephen F. Austin State University's undergraduate and/or graduate programs through teaching, scholarship/creative accomplishment, and service. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the chair.

Academic Qualifications

Terminal degree in the field in which the individual will be teaching is required. ABD Candidates may be considered if Ph.D. is earned prior to start date. Preferred Qualifications: 1) Desired applicant should be able to teach advanced business communication technology and its application in business and at least one of the following: corporate communication, professional social media, professional writing, training, employee development, data analytics documentation and reporting tools, and/or information technology. 2) The applicant must be able to teach communication with a writing intensive focus. 3) The ability to periodically teach online is required.

Experience Requirements

Preferred Qualifications: In addition to a terminal degree in a related field, preferred candidates will have post-secondary teaching experience, a business undergraduate and/or graduate degree, and 3 years of business experience.
