Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation
Saturday, October 26, 12:00pm-approximately 5:30pm $69
Prepare to be astounded with the kaleidoscope of history on this post-conference excursion. "At The Henry Ford, you’ll discover America—its culture, inventions, people and can-do spirit—and hundreds of hands-on ways to explore it, enjoy it and be inspired by it.” Many artifacts from the country's history are here, including machines and vehicles actually used by famous figures. Anyone with an interest in American history, technology, anthropology and/or sociology will find this museum fascinating.
Their museum shop carries distinctive gifts, housewares, tools, gadgets, and goodies. Whether a scale model car, a cider making kit, or Rosie the Riveter memorabilia, you'll fancy taking something home.
You’ll want your camera (no selfie sticks) and comfortable shoes. It's OK to bring your water bottle and a small snack. There are vending machines and eateries inside; the eateries can be very busy. The Ford Museum is a very large complex.
Our chartered transportation on the “Art Bus” is a hand-painted biodiesel-powered bus. This upcycled school bus is part of a Detroit fleet where every ride purchased provides a ride for a Detroit kid in need.
