Weather and Things to Pack


Bring fliers, brochures, job announcements, journals, books, and other things to share with members on the Member Networking Table in the Audubon Foyer.  Your own acrylic stand or frame makes for a nice display.

-thumb drive (jump drive) with your presentation
-paper copy of presentation
-device chargers
-mask (and disinfectant wipes, if desired)   (We anticipate mask-wearing at conference with seating spaced for social distancing. As of June, hotel staff is masked; they will continue wearing masks for the near future in accordance with Hyatt's Global Care and Cleanliness Commitment.
-umbrella and light jacket
-sweater or cover-up for the air conditioned rooms
-walking shoes  (There is about a 6-minute walk between main tower with sessions and reception or activities near Oystercatchers Restaurant.)
-sandals
-swimsuit
-sun glasses; extra glasses (And about seeing, a lighted make-up mirror is in the guest lodging.)
-bug repellent
-sunscreen
-medications or other necessities.  (A small sundries shop is on-site; transit is needed for off-property trips.)
-lipstick for underneath your mask. (But really, check out the health and beauty stores at International Plaza.)
-tennis racket
-workout clothes (Challenge yourself on the Peloton in the well-equipped fitness center or enjoy the dry sauna.)
-book or magazine
-binoculars (From the hotel boardwalk, you might spot manatees or spy on the pelican.)

Note: For small printing needs, a printer is available in the conference area (floor #2) self-service business center near the ABC Connect room.

Weather - Average Tampa temperature in October: high 850 Fahrenheit/690 low.

Travel To/From Conference

Tampa International Airport (TPA) is a quick 5-minute cab or social transit ride to the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. Approximate fares: cab $25; social transit $10-15. Some discount airlines also fly into St. Petersburg International Airport (PIE)--about 15 miles away.

Early flights may be less crowded. At this writing, both airlines and social transit require mask.

Driving?  Hotel garage parking is free for ABC guests.
