The ABC Research Committee invites submissions for a Research Roundtable at the ABC annual conference in Detroit, Michigan, USA, October 24-26, 2019. The Research Committee is dedicated to the advancement of research in business communication. It aims to enhance and promote research, within the discipline and beyond, by providing a center for networking and collaboration. The Committee advises the ABC Board on the Outstanding Researcher and Outstanding Dissertation Awards.
We welcome participants with expertise in a theory or method of business communication research to describe a current project, explain their approach and data, and indicate the project’s implications and/or applications. The aims of the research roundtable are to:
- Provide a forum for communicating research in business communication
- Exchange ideas on research projects, theories and methods
- Share expertise
- Ask questions on a ‘sticky’ problem
- Form research collaborations
- Keep abreast with developments in the field.
Each presenter will describe their project in 5 minutes, and we will then break up into thematic groups for further discussion.
Please submit an abstract of 200 words to the Chair of the Research Committee, Sky Marsen at skymarsen@gmail.com by April 26.
