Technology Committee

The Technology Committee:

1.​     Maintains ongoing forum discussions about topics related to teaching and teaching with technology.

2.​     Reviews the ABC web site (http://businesscommunication.org) to advise the Communication and Technology Coordinator regarding ways the Association could improve its web presence and functionality to meet Association goals and serve its members.

3.​     Reviews media and software available to, but not in use by, the Association with a goal of suggesting ways to add functionality or improve the Association’s ability to serve its members.

4.​     Builds a database of members’ research and consulting areas for the website that enables workplace practitioners, as well as ABC members, to connect with researchers, instructors and consultants in particular areas of business communication.

5.​     Develops new website features such as blogs, badges and social login.

6.​     Develops, revises and updates guidelines for member use of the ABC community software platform easily located on the ABC website.

7.​     Encourages the use of social media, especially Facebook and LinkedIn, by listing the benefits to members on the ABC website.

8.​     Provides technical support for virtual presentations at the annual conference.
