ABC Mentoring Defined
ABC mentoring is a deliberate voluntary relationship that
- is arranged by ABC
- occurs between an experienced person and one or more less-experienced persons
- is typically focused on interpersonal support, sharing of wisdom, coaching, and role modeling
- is expected to benefit all parties in the relationship for personal growth and career development
- takes place by whatever means is most convenient: face-to-face meetings, email, telephone
- may continue for as long as the parties find it mutually beneficial
