The successful candidate for this tenure-track assistant professor position will have an earned Ph.D. from an accredited institution by August 1, 2018, in one of the following fields: Professional Communication, Technical Communication, Rhetoric and Composition, English or a closely related field with a specialization or dissertation in Professional/Technical Communication. College-level teaching experience and active research agenda are also required. Teaching load is 4/4 and will be composed of upper-division and graduate-level Professional and Technical Communication courses, as well as general education courses. Preferred areas of expertise include grants and proposal writing, the rhetoric of science, or user-centered design. Previous industry experience in desired sub-field and knowledge of industry-specific software are preferred.

Academic Qualifications

active research agenda. Preferred areas of expertise include grants and proposal writing, the rhetoric of
science, or user-centered design.

Experience Requirements

Previous industry experience in desired sub-field and knowledge of industry-specific software preferred.
