Assistant Professor (Tenure Track)
Hofstra University’s Department of Writing Studies and Composition seeks to fill an anticipated tenure-track position at the assistant professor level.
This position calls for a PhD in rhetoric and composition with secondary specialization in business writing and/or professional communication.
The successful candidate will have a commitment to excellence in first-year writing and to collaboration with one or more of the following schools: Lawrence Herbert School of Communication; Frank G. Zarb School of Business; Peter S. Kalikow School of School of Government, Public Policy and International Affairs. We are particularly interested in applicants who can teach and develop curriculum in professional business writing, a new degree requirement for all B.B.A. students at Hofstra. Additional interests in areas such as digital and visual rhetoric, web authoring, and/or document design are desirable.
