Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor in Business Communication-College of Business

Zayed University’s College of Business is seeking to appoint a business communications faculty member with a start date of January 2018. The position will be based on our Dubai campus. Applications for the following ranks will be considered: Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor. Desired areas of expertise include Business Communication, Organizational Communication, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics and TESOL/TEFL. The successful applicant will be expected to teach sections of two core courses in Business Communication in collaboration with other discipline members. They will also be required to actively engage in various college and university committees. Recruits at the Assistant or Associate rank would also be expected to conduct high quality academic research with output published in highly regarded academic journals. There will be opportunities to work with the existing business communication faculty whose research interests lie predominantly in intercultural communication, in Business English as a lingua franca, in language and Emiratization and in the communication of leadership.
Applicants for the rank of Instructor should have a Master degree with a specialization in Business Communication or a cognate discipline from a QS ranked university and a proven track record of excellence in teaching. Applicants for the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor should have a PhD with a specialization in Business Communication or a cognate discipline from a QS ranked university and a proven track record of excellence in teaching. In addition, publications in Scopus listed or ABDC ranked journals are desired.
Teaching experience in business communication, positive teaching evaluations, evidence of course development and experience in college and university committees is also desirable.
