C.R. Anderson Foundation - Silent Auction in Albuquerque

Dear ABC Members,

Our 81st annual international conference is approaching, and, for the fourth consecutive year, we are partnering with a nonprofit organization in the city that is hosting us.  This year our partner is Reading Works, and I am writing to ask for your help in making this event a success.

The mission of Reading Works is to empower adults with the literacy and language skills they need to participate fully and effectively in work, civic life, and community. Reading Works is a community-based program that offers free tutoring services to adults with literacy needs. Trained volunteers work with clients in several core areas including, reading and writing, English as a Second Language, Math, and Digital Literacy.

How can you help?

  • Share gift certificates or items for the auction (It helps if gift certificates are valid through 2017 and are for national chains).     All gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
  • Come prepared to bid on these items and support ABC.

If you plan to bring a gift to donate, please contact Becky Morrison, our silent auction chair. She is creating an online site to feature items.  Bring donations to the conference/silent auction site at the Hotel Albuquerque.

For questions, please contact Becky Morrison or Marilyn Buerkens

Thank you again for your commitment to making ABC an organization with a heart and a social conscience.

Sincerely,

Jim

JIm Dubinsky

ABC Executive Director

The C. R. Anderson Foundation, ABC’s 501@c-3 affiliate, is the official entity holding the auction, and the money from the gifts you donate will go to support Reading Works, also a (501@c-3) and our organization’s graduate students.
