Diversity and Inclusion Panel - Call for Participants

Dear Colleagues,

As you’re preparing for our Albuquerque conference, please consider being part of the lightning roundtable: “How Do You Teach Diversity?” The roundtable will be a forum in which panelists—and audience--will share best practices. The idea is for panelists to share an assignment in a lightning round in which each will have three to five minutes to present (depending on number of participants). The session is a good way for people to try out a new topic that they can turn into something more substantial. They then can fine tune based on feedback.

All participants will get their names and the names of their assignments in the conference program. Being part of this panel can be an easy step to presenting at ABC.

We debuted this forum at last year’s conference and had such overwhelming participation that we’re bringing it back by popular demand.

And while you’re in this frame of mind, why not nominate yourself or some other deserving ABC member for the Distinction in the Practice of Diversity and Inclusion Award? Visit the awards page for more information. The award is another great way to share the fine work you are doing in diversity and inclusion. Please help us grow as an organization by sharing your best practices.

If you have questions, would like more information, or would like to be part of either or both of these exciting opportunities, please contact Jacqui Lowman.
