Salary Range:

Commensurate with academic preparation and professional experience.

Job Description:

Primary professional responsibilities: Teaching in Tepper School's Masters and Undergraduate programs and service to the Tepper School and the wider Carnegie Mellon  University community. Teaching will focus on business and management communications in both written and oral practices. Will teach eight units per year, equivalent to four semester-long courses.

 

Academic Qualifications:

Ph.D. in business communications or related discipline (e.g., English, Rhetoric, Communication Studies, etc.). ABD candidates may be considered if degree is to be completed at the time of appointment. The successful candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the school and be able to communicate and work effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Candidates must demonstrate a potential for and commitment to teaching excellence.

Experience Requirements:

Candidates with prior business communications teaching and additional business experience and/or coursework at the MBA level are preferred.
